The card is accepted here in Malaysia and worldwide wherever you see the Visa or Visa Electron logo.

Benefits of BSN Matrix
There's never been a better reason to put away your cash than BSN MATRIX. Its not only serves as an ATM card to withdraw cash from BSN ATMs and MEPS ATM but allows you to make purchases at shopping malls, petrol stations, grocery stores, retail stores, restaurants and many more without having to worry about monthly instalments or extra charges. When you use the BSN Matrix card, the amount of money spent is automatically deducted from your Giro account. It also allows you to earn a cash reward of 0.5% everytime you spend using the card at any outlet carrying the VISA or Visa Electron logo.
You can also pre-set your spending limit at any BSN ATM so that you can manage your expenses. In short, the BSN MATRIX card provides convenience for all your shopping needs and it eliminates the need to carry cash. You can use the BSN MATRIX card at any merchant locations in Malaysia and worldwide carrying the VISA or VISA Electron logo.
Using the card for your purchases and making payment is simple.
Just purchase and sign the sales draft. The purchase amount will be debited automatically from your BSN GIRO savings account as long as you have sufficient money in your account. You are advised to keep all your purchase receipts for future reference. For transactions done overseas using the BSN MATRIX card, the purchase amount is converted to Ringgit Malaysia and debited automatically from your BSN GIRO account.
Cash Reward For Your Purchases
Cash reward will be given for every purchase transaction using the BSN Matrix card.
Cash reward at 0.5% will be calculated every month until 12 months. The accumulated cash reward after 12 months will be credited to your BSN GIRO account on the 13th month.
Accounts closed before the card anniversary date will not be eligible for the cash reward.

You can pre-set your daily spending limit
The BSN MATRIX card helps you to manage your spending by allowing you to pre-set your daily spending limit. When you apply for the card, the pre-set spending limit by the Bank stands at RM1,000.
You can increase or lower the pre-set spending limit at all times at any BSN ATMs.
For GIRO accounts operated by thumbprint, the BSN MATRIX card can only be used for ATM based transactions only. Purchase transactions are not permitted.
Record Keeping
For statement based account holders, all purchase transactions, including transaction done at ATMs, will be displayed in the monthly account statement which will be sent by post.
Statement will be sent to your permanent/registered address in Malaysia.
For passbook based account holders, all purchase transactions, including transactions done at ATMs, can be updated at any BSN branch.
Use it at the ATM
You can use the BSN MATRIX card at BSN ATMs for balance inquiry, cash withdrawals, fund transfers, PIN change, purchase of Sijil Simpanan Premium,, bill payment, request for mini statement and many more.
The BSN MATRIX card can also be used to make balance inquiry and cash withdrawals transactions at any ATMs with the MEPS/ BANCARD logo locally and VISA PLUS logo overseas.
You are advised to use BSN ATMs, which operates 22 hours a day, for all your transaction needs. You will be charged RM1 for each cash withdrawal transaction done at non BSN ATMs i.e ATMs belonging to other banks carrying the MEPS/BANKCARD logo. A transaction fee of RM 1.25 for each balance inquiry and RM 12 for each cash withdrawal will be imposed when the card is used at ATMs overseas carrying the VISA PLUS logo.
For cash withdrawal transactions done at any ATM overseas, the amount withdrawn is converted to Ringgit Malaysia and automatically debited from your BSN GIRO account
How do I get a BSN MATRIX card ?
You need to open a BSN GIRO account with a minimum deposit of RM 50 at any BSN branch.
A RM 8 charge ( adult account ) and RM 5 ( teenager account ) is imposed to get a BSN MATRIX card.
Where can I use my BSN MATRIX card ?
You can use your BSN MATRIX card at any of the merchants with the VISA or VISA Electron logo both locally and overseas. Just purchase, present your card and sign the sales draft.
For ATM transaction, you can use it at any BSN ATMs or ATMs that displays the MEPS/BANCARD logo nationwide or VISA PLUS logo overseas.
Have you changed your old BSN ATM card to the chip based BSN MATRIX card ?
If you are currently holding the BSN GIRO, BSN MAESTRO or magnetic stripe BSN MATRIX card, you are advised to change your card to the chip based BSN MATRIX card at any nearest BSN branch.
A charge of RM 10 ( Adult account) and RM 5 ( teenager Account) will be imposed for the change of card.
Card Expiry
The validity of the BSN MATRIX card is until December 2012. You need to renew this card upon expiry.
Lost Card
You are required to immediately notify the bank if your card is lost or stolen. You can call our Customer Service at 03-21425258 or make a report at the nearest BSN branch. The Bank will not be liable for any fraudulent withdrawals done using the card if no report is made by the cardholder.
What is BSN GIRO card?
The BSN GIRO card is issued to Giro account holders instantly at all BSN branches upon opening of the Giro account.
The BSN GIRO card can be used at any BSN ATM or at any other bank's ATM under the MEPS network for cash withdrawal. However the card cannot be used for POS ( Point of Sale) transactions and overseas unlike the BSN MATRIX card ( link to BSN MATRIX card ). This card can also be used for bill payment and fund transfer transactions at BSN ATMs and BSN Cash Deposit Machines.
